Family photograph in 1998, my little brother was only a few months old. My mother took the photo. Our parents lived and worked for about a year at Tom Moore’s farm in Texas, better known as Allenfarm – or as the immigrant Latino workers called it, “Alefon”. It was the first place my little brother knew as “home”. We had migrated here from Florida after the orange season ended.
