As a visual artists, I enjoy exploring assemblage work. I create hand cut collages with junk mail. I also love to create assemblage sculptures. You see I have a thing for wood and found objects and love to recycle wood, plastic, glass and metal parts. Integrating these objects in my work is my way of reusing another person’s trash. I have always been inspired by Louise Nevelson and Joseph Cornell. They inspire me to explore unity and variety.
Wendy Rosenberg: The Key To Totem Town
This assemblage box had a collection of stacked curiosities salvaged and saved for a sculpture such as this one. Many of the parts twist and turn and I invite the viewer to take a look at this freestanding piece from all sides.
