Inspired by a family photo, this piece depicts an iconic suburban family posing for a portrait taken by the dad.I used weaving to link the family together and to their simple, happy home.The matriarch prominent in bright yellow and the sisters demure, the youngest caring for their own dolls and the family dog.I highlighted the mother’s gaze upon her spouse taking the photo.
