My work is predominantly composed of portraiture as I seek express the complexity of human life and human emotions through color and composition. My subjects are invariably people who are dismissed as ordinary. Through my art I seek to capture, a single strand of an ordinary multidimensional human as one would capture the intricate art of embroidering with a single strand of a multicolored thread. The thread in itself is ordinary and irrelevant, but when woven into the fabric of existence reveals a richness in shade, depth, dimension and purpose.
