Susanna Baker is a NJ based artist who combines printmaking, painting, sewing, and 3D effects to create unique artworks. Her imagery is based on the push and pull of what we see and what we don’t see- an opaque blue sky hides an infinite universe of objects, a drop of blood is filled with microscopic cells. Driven by process, she uses organic and geometric shapes to populate a multi-layered space that might be massive or molecular. Baker has exhibited widely in both group and solo shows, throughout NJ, NYC, Providence RI, and San Francisco CA. She has also curated a number of shows in the NJ area. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
