Stacey AS Pritchard: Trophies 1-4

Stacey AS Pritchard: Trophies 1-4

SKU: 2021-00090.

These slip cast bullet and flower forms create unique trophies on Aluminum and marble.

This work is part of an ongoing series exploring cyclical violence in American society and history. I use porcelain and other clays to create slip cast bullets of various sizes as a basis for and reflection of the regularity and pervasive presence of underlying violence in our daily. This continual exposure, as well as glorification of strength and war throughout our culture perpetuate far reaching types of violence. The newer, flower show trophy forms speak to the continuation and perpetuation of underlying power structures that support violence and a paternal might is right-thinking, including polite cultured society.
