Sandy Taylor: Tipping Point

Sandy Taylor: Tipping Point

SKU: 1054.

Land and home destroyed by triple climate threats of fire, hurricane and flooding, only a portal remains, the land and its residents have reached beyond the tipping point for recovery.

There are several themes that I return to again and again in my art.
I love to play with the edges of light as they come together, how light flows in and out, the ephemeral colors of nature, shadows that mark our presence for only a moment and then transform or disappear. Plein Air work and abstracted imagery are my alternating directions.

Both my abstractions and oil/cold wax paintings are landscapes of the mind, of memories, time and space, emotions, relationships, visions. My mind combines the serendipity of a single moment, or the view in front of me, into emotional impressions to transform into paint.
