I seldom have a plan when I paint my abstracts. I let the painting tell me where it wants to go. With this piece, I set out merely to make a painting which would prominently feature my favorite oil color, Violet Blue. From a random and multicolored geometric pattern, some interesting and unplanned birds emerged, and I welcomed them!
