Artist Statement

Magic happens and capturing that moment of beauty is my mission. I want to bring images to people that awake their attention and inspire their imaginations. “Where was that taken” people ask. I take that to mean, “I want to go there and also capture that wonderful feeling.”

I developed an optimistic view of life in the hardscrabble world of an entrepreneur always looking for a communication path with my clients. Furniture design helped along the way to exercise my creative instincts and now photography is my passion. The New Jersey General Assembly has commended my work for raising environmental awareness, and several solo shows have spotlighted my work.

Artist Resume

My photography interest started many years ago but matured over the last 14 years. My vision was sharpened by many photographic workshops, classroom instruction at the ICP and NJ Visual Arts Center and participation in many photographic competitions of the New Jersey Federation of Camera Clubs and the Livingston Camera Club. My many photo friends are of immense help. I have been featured in several solo shows and won best in photography at the Maplewood Art Walk.

The photographic image and digital technology allowed me to express my creative interests and use the camera lens to bring focus to my mission. I continue to learn and be amazed at the possibilities of photography in the modern age.
