House constructed of handmade paper from the pages of an encyclopedia. Words hand cut in the paper, house suspended over the cover of the encyclopedia on a wood and metal stand.
Pam Cooper: Re-Worked
Twenty years ago, the main source of reference in our homes and libraries were a set of encyclopedias. Since then, with the invention and growth of the internet, our main source of information comes from the world wide web. Information not printed on paper but light and text on a screen. I shredded, pulped and made paper from the pages of one encyclopedia, hand cut words in the paper sheets and constructed a house. Shining a light onto the house the words are projected onto the wall behind.
