Olga Alexander: Untitled

Olga Alexander: Untitled

SKU: 2021-00079.

The painting presented here is part of a conversation I have with myself about gender, its construction and the price of acculturation in a landscape that is constantly shifting. Like my personal conversations about identity, my painting is fluid and not fixed and points to more questions than answers.

I work in many materials and formats including abstract drawing, painting, photography, installations, sculpture and jewelry design. In my art practice, I experiment with materials and use media that best accommodates my subject matter which generally focuses on the architecture of the body and how it relates to a constructed fluid identity.
