I began this series a few months ago after the murder of George Floyd, and the divisive presidential election and its aftermath. These particular pekelakh are filled with my battles with racism, judgementalism, and past guilts.
Miriam Stern: Pekelakh V (XO)
My process begins with photographs I have taken on my travels. Using the computer I isolate parts of the photographs, manipulate them, and combine them to create a new image. Then using my Ipad I complete the image.
