I collect matchboxes, photos, and postcards. The pun of matchbox made me smile. This piece was a challenge to move away from grayscale and into full scale color. I sometimes feel nostalgia for the second that just passed. Painting allows me to hold onto time and slow it down. Objects from the past depicted in a painting solidifies their existence.
