I paint in soft pastel and oils. I have a passion for color & I often use saturated ones. I also enjoy working with a more subtle palette, creating a fusion of colors. My subject is usually the landscape, somewhat abstracted but recognizable. It serves as way for me to take advantage of the natural light and the benefits of value range in my work.
This piece is a familiar spot I have painted many times. An area of untouched marsh. I hope to have the viewer experience a touch of this pristine piece of nature. My color scheme alters depending on the time of day and time of year.
