Kathleen Elyse: Power Suit

Kathleen Elyse: Power Suit

SKU: 2021-00060.

Soft Sculpture/Found Object.

As a lesbian, I am have been in a constant evolution of fashion swaying between wearing men’s inspired fashion during my dyke phase to the opposite side of the spectrum during my lipstick phase wearing more female traditional fashion. Power Suit is a soft sculptural object that uses a traditional feminist craft with hand sewing juxtaposed with a male fabric sample book for suits challenging the ideas of what makes an item of clothing powerful.
