Born and raised in China, June He is a multidisciplinary artist, designer and author currently resides in New Jersey. She works across illustration, painting, text, publication, and design.
June has been an active artist and designer for more than ten years. Her work has been exhibited in venues including Queen City 15 Fine Art Gallery, Poughkeepsie, NY; Drawing Rooms, Jersey City, NJ; Independent Art Book Fair, Brooklyn, NY; Vision Expo West, Las Vegas, NV; SILMO, Paris, France; MIDO, Milan, Italy; Krannert Art Museum, IL; and Illinois Union Art Gallery, IL; etc.
June has published creative works of writings in different genres includes picture book Kaia and Tutu’s Journey to the World (2019), fiction book Lonely Manhattan (2016); collection of essays and poems From China to America (2013); and articles on newspapers and magazines across the globe.
June hosts workshops and lectures in universities, schools and libraries, including 2019 Storytelling and Drawing Workshop, Queens Public Library, NYC; 2017 Chinese Author Talk Series Lonely Manhattan, New York public library, NYC; 2015 Mentor for teen design fair, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, NYC; 2010 Art & Design Lecture, Southern Yangtze University, China; 2007-2009 Graduate Teaching Assistant in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
June holds an M.F.A. in Art & Design from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a permanent member of American Association of Chinese Writers.
