My work explores the interplay of color, shape, line, and texture on the painting surface. Each painting is created from many layers of paint and drawing media, not all of which remains visible. Nonetheless, there’s always something beneath the surface, and for me, this reflects, as in life, the interconnection of background or history with the present.
