I’m fascinated by things that move and fly: insects, pre-historic birds, sea creatures and I use materials that are difficult to work with: glass, metal, rust to turn that inspiration into art. I work with found objects (from flea markets, basement sales, and donations from friends) and junk found on the roadside or discarded in vacant lots. And I work with glass on a torch, especially making wings and eyes and feet for my metal creatures. The goal is to bring the discarded or ignored back to life.
