I started in photography in college working on a yearbook. Later, in the US Army, I served as a still photographer in Pacific Ocean countries while in my spare time shooting in black and white and Kodachrome on the island of Oahu. On leaving the Army, I put my cameras away while I pursued a career in communications, which included a time as a news film photographer for a TV station. In 1995, I took up the camera again but converted to digital, which I continue to shoot today. My focus is on portraits, helping people remember who they are and how they look from the youngest infant to the mature adult. I work both in a studio and on location.

The image is an artistic portrait of my wife. I have been focusing on portraiture, particularly of artists and had a show in the past year celebrating Artists of the Oranges. I’m working now on a second show focused on Book Artists.
