As a teaching artist working with different communities including older adults and individuals with Alzheimer’s, I seek to communicate positive messages in my Chinese brush painting. Through brushstrokes, I convey energy to the audience. Through the sensitive nature of rice paper, I capture interesting moments without hesitation. Through the use of ink and colors, I create an uplifting visual effect.
