Evan Stuart Marshall was born in 1956 in Boston, Massachusetts. He has studied under Gerry Heydt at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, and Mary Giammarino at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. His work has been featured in numerous juried exhibitions. Recently his work was selected by the new MC Hotel in Montclair, NJ, to be part of its permanent collection. In 2017, he was honored with the Mary Koether Merit Award by the West Essex (NJ) Art Association. His work is held in many private collections. Evan currently lives and works in Roseland, New Jersey.
