As I continue to express my personal vision and strive for all I can learn, I often refer to an ancient Zen proverb, “Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the Master’s; seek what they sought.” Our lives are made up of millions of moments. Moments like silver grains of time that passes by, mostly without perception. Photography for me has been an opportunity to capture some of the many instances of time I’ve been blessed to see and experience since beginning photography in 1975. I favor the documentary photograph. Documentary photography allows freedom, spontaneity and endless subjects. I perceive myself as a spectator recording the ordinarily unseen. I use traditional silver film & pixel technology to express it.
