Diana Mrugal’s artistic objective is to create life and motion with her stroke and use of color tones. She portrays her artistic interpretations in a way that evokes feeling and reaction from her viewers.

She has been inspired to create since her childhood. Her father was an engineer and an amateur artist while her mother had a great eye for color and decorating. Diana’s talent was discovered early on as she was selected to decorate school classrooms and hallways with her cartooning skills. She continued her study of art in college but did not begin dedicating significant time to her work until her adult life.

Her preferred medium is oil on canvas. Current projects include vibrant colors applied on large canvas with palette knives. She paints from photographs and live subjects and is passionate about en Plein air painting. She works on both small and large canvas.
