The photographs are a documentation of interior wall surfaces from various areas within the Leach building, a long unused storage facility in Montclair, New Jersey. Millions of photographs of peeling paint have been taken since Aaron Siskind introduced photographers to their allure. One voice in my head said this was a cliché to be avoided, but another voice told me to shut up and take the picture. The building houses one of studio Montclair’s gallery spaces.
