Dean Gilliland is a full time painter who received an art degree from Kutztown University in 1977. He went on to study at the Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts and various ateliers in New York City. He recently returned to painting after a career in fashion design and works mainly in oil on linen mounted panels.

This painting was inspired by the saturated blues and oranges of certain certain crisp Fall days. This one was found on the side of Monument Mountain in the Berkshires. I find opinions and observations about my work from other artists to be a valuable resource.
