Inspired by the simplicity and peacefulness of the natural world, Claude Larson seeks to embrace the color and effortlessness of nature in her work. She strives to create both textile and mixed media pieces that evoke a feeling of the big picture through a compilation of smaller elements. Through the use of layering, line, texture and color her work conveys a visual serenity. Primarily self-taught, Claude incorporates her early art experiences with various media into fibers, both textiles and paper. She continues to experiment with new mediums and processes as she creates from her studio, aptly named Random Acts of Piece. Her work has been published in Quilting Arts, Cloth Paper Scissors and Stitch magazines. Claude teaches creative art workshops that encourage a mindful approach to the artistic process.
Claude Larson: Timeline Interrupted
