Honoring and comemmorating the customs, concepts, practices and traditions of Africans and Africans in America is important to me. Additionally, creating mixed media and assemblage art is a fascinating journey into self discovery, healing, teaching and sharing. Although I’ve been creating art since my teenaged years, I’ve never seriously considered sharing my work until now in late adulthood. My submittal(s) to the ‘Absolute Abstraction’ exhibition is my first attempt to publicly show my art.
