I have spent years collecting my observations of everyday life turning them into extraordinary images. I start out by capturing the images on my cell phone. The best camera for the job is the one I have with me.
Then I view them on my computer using software to play with the images to accentuate, detract, blur or highlight their attributes as I desire. But I don’t use these programs in the way most do. I let each image speak to me, listening to what it has to say as my guide.
Every image has a different story to tell. I look at each image to make more of what I like and less of what I don’t, trying always to push each image to its own Wow Factor.
I find the whole process harder to get started but very easy to continue, once I get on a roll, the time passes quickly.
Color, Shape and Design of the original image work together in my process to create new shapes and patterns. Sometimes I completely obscure the original subject or I leave it for the viewer to contemplate its relevance in the work.
I love working with both acrylic and metal printing. The depth and reflective qualities of these modern medium best show off my vibrant and bold intentions for the art.
“The end result is almost accidental. I never know where it will end until I get there”.
