I was brought up as a representational oil painter and have experimented with acrylics, pastels, water color etc. This piece using photos taken on my much anticipated trip to New Mexico is a complete reversal of my years as a painter. The abstract use of portions of my iphone photos gives me a new freedom. I can mix and match until a depth of color, objects and space create a satisfying harmony that has no requirement of realism. It is just fun to do!
