I am very interested in the concept of place, location, or landscape. I have a special relationship with geography and the enormity of the natural environment. I spent most of my childhood traveling with my family in a blue Chevy van that my dad and uncle fashioned into a home for the 6 of us. The colors and the shapes that I saw left indelible impressions etched into my consciousness, and my latest body of work is focused on accessing those memories, and like Inness, capturing the emotions associated with life and landscape

The psychology of color and form plays a fundamental role in my work. My technique involves layering color to build up a textured surface. I have always been excited about the past and how it permeates the presence and I can express this through layering paint and then repeatedly wiping away. The story evolves from the accumulation of paint and the vibration of color.
