My father was a craftsman. He made model buildings, mostly model synagogues. These tools rest in the same hand-made cabinet drawers where he last held them, just prior to his death in 1987.

This is a digital image taken as part of a project of one of SMI’s photography crit groups. It was the beginning of the pandemic, we were no longer meeting in-person, and — being stuck at home — we decided to capture images of objects which we regarded as having special meaning to us, These are my father’s crafting tools, in the same hand-made drawers where he last used them in 1987.
