This is a selection from a series created after pondering the future of endangered species combined with a reflection on personal experience. I was inspired by discussions with my High School students in which a student asked me, “What are some events that you believe future generations may not experience?”. With hope for others to become more conscience of climate change, I created a series of paintings inspired by endangered species currently listed by the International Union of Conservation of Nature as critically endangered. My goal was to place the animals into dreamscapes, representing that if action is not taken soon, these creatures may only be appreciated through memory.
