Cathleen McCoy Bristol has taught art in several settings for various age groups including the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, Arts Unbound and Senior Studio. Cathy was on the boards of 1978 Maplewood Arts Council, Arts Council of East Orange and the SOMA Artists Studio Tour. She illustrates paints and does commissioned work. Cathy likes to document the human experience in paint. Cathy endeavors to portray the beauty in all people. She also challengs herself with landscapes, still life’s and animal subjects. Though she draws, paints with oils and watercolors, her medium of choice is acrylic paint. Cathy has numerous pieces in private collections and exhibits frequently on the North and Central Jersey areas. Cathy has curated four art shows and is developing a fifth.
