Bill Sarnowski captures the beauty and essence of nature and people in his exquisitely rendered, realistic paintings. Using subtle values of light, vibrant color, and harmony in related forms, Bill creates an experience for viewers to witness the natural beauty within, as well as the beauty surrounding them.
A self-taught artist, Bill’s artistic talent was recognized and encouraged at an early age by his uncle, Conway Policastro, also a self-taught artist and architect. Bill’s adored uncle was meticulous in his own work and set a high standard that guides Bill’s work to this day.
Teaching Bill about perspective utilizing values and shading, Bill’s uncle helped him to see and represent the world in all its richness.
A successful entrepreneur, Bill practiced drawing and painting throughout his life as time allowed, gathering the techniques he uses for oil painting along the way. Now retired, he is able to focus on his artwork. Bill’s role as a Life Empowerment Coach also influences his work, helping him to reflect on and examine any blocks he encounters on his artistic journey. Bill continually endeavors to create art that enriches those that view his work.
